Pea would be fine in front of 5 in midfield. Pea is also fine when he's not partnering Rooney. We'll win it in midfield if we win it at all. 4 at the back is a waste when you have holes in the middle of the pitch. I wouldn't mind val in there and I'd even play Rooney in a definite midfield role if it wasn't for the fact he'd leave in jan

pea would be fine in front of 5 if (a) he hadn't been a nonny mouse against cardiff; and (b) rooney could actually play midfield. with pea up front, I'd drop januzaj and put rooney wide left.

rooney won't leave in january, dipstick.

When are you going to realise that Fabio is a fullback? every single week without fail you suggest that he's a viable option to start in midfield

The Mirror reckons the team is

DDG
Smalling
Rio
Evans
Evra
Giggs
Jones
Kagawa
Valencia
Nani
Rooney

Not sure if that'd be Giggs or Kagawa playing off Rooney, the latter hopefully.

If that is the team I'm pretty sure it will be kagawa off rooney .
Giggs will be in the middle with jones and nani on the left
