Remember when the quisling Kenyon was trying to squeeze Mou out, and Abramovich sided with Mou? How times change. He's powerless. |

No doubt Pogba's comments will have left him fuming though. Coming at the same time the club briefed against him. Walls closing in. |

Under normal circumstances this sort of power struggle would concern me but the fact is Mou's brought all the problems with players on himself, he publicly digs out players too often. You can maybe do it in extremis, but it's been Mou's go to move. Mkhitaryan, Shaw, Martial and Pogba have all been slated in pressers.
So the club is staring down the barrel of Shaw and Martial walking away for nowt at the end of contracts or agitating for a move if we trigger Martial's option (that's £70million pissed away), Pogba is clearly unhappy about something, Mkhitaryan cost £27million and recouped nothing except a fat signing on fee and salary for a so far even less effective Sanchez. The teams reaction to Shaw's goal was pretty telling. Any club would be asking questions at this point. As someone said when the Moyes debacle was coming to an end and the press were in full voice that he should have more time, other managers get blamed for losing the dressing room, in this case some people want to blame the dressing room for being lost. |

Always believed a manager should be the one who chooses his signings . After all it’s he who will be judged on their performance. A DOF can maybe have input into who the manager should be so that a style of play can be maintained but once chosen the manager should have autonomy in player recruitment . Yes managers might only buy for the present , but that’s because they are judged that way. No manager now is going to be given 3 years to build without accountability for results. Clubs reap what they sow in this regard.

It should have been in place or at least in the short terms plans when Fergie was retiring. It does feel as if almost everyone connected to the club was in some level of denial over the difficulty of the transition from Fergie.
Actually feel sorry for Moyes now, he should never have been seriously considered but he had no chance with reality rushing towards the club. First order of business for a new DOF is to work out what type of club Utd want to be, the shit version of Madrid throwing money and names at the problem they have been during these 5 years or one with an identity that can survive management and player changes. |

Based on what they're leaking at the moment, I'd be shocked if Pochettino isn't their dream appointment in the near future. |
