All talented young English players go the same way with that kind of attitude. Wilshere doesn't appear to shy away from the limelight, he's out on the piss breaking womens arms (or being in the vicinity which as an Arsenal player makes me think he was being a snidey @#%&! hiding behind a hard mate or something when it went off) in the early hours. barry ferguson wasted a good opportunity to put him in his place yesterday.

He's a brilliant prospect tbf.

He looked perfectly comfortable playing against Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets the other week. Great burst of pace, good vision and can pick a lovely pass.

I would still rather have though.

already a very good player but, as said, a snidey @#%&! very much in the wenger mould. the media hype about him is excruciating, however, he's a good young player with plenty of potential having a good first season, not the second coming of diego maradona.

atm anderson is a better player imo (that's an honest opinion, not a red-specs job), far more rounded (insert joke here) and less prone to poor decisions - it's enough to see what a difference he makes to our midfield when he's playing. that's to be expected, of course, as he's a couple of years older. both have great potential if they can realise it.

incidentally, if we're picking a young english player who has really impressed in the premier league this season then i'd put welbeck (up to his injury) ahead of any of them. easily sunderland's best player, won a place ahead of both bent and gyan and sunderland's form has been poor ever since he got injured - well before bent left, in fact, though the general view is that the loss of bent £#%&!ed them up.

I wouldn't put money on wilshere growing up to be a less snidey man. but it is surely more likely than our enthusiastic scottish player developing into a hard-tackling picker of passes.
