The last person I’d believe on whether a player is fit to start is Jose

Didn’t he question Smalling’s courage when he said he wasn’t fit to play at Swansea once and turned out he had a broken bone in his foot or something and was out for months

Absolutely.

Here's the rub: he's been a bit of a disappointment for United. Mourinho went out of his way to defend him from criticism. He let Mourinho (and the club) down when he was needed most.

So now Mourinho can go to the board and ask for a replacement, and Romelu can enjoy promoting his brand at Borussia Dortmund, or sat on the £#%&!ing bench.

Not really. Two weeks at the World Cup playing Panama and England or week in and week out for four years at the most-supported club in the world playing in the most-watched league in the world.

Hopefully just the former now, if these rumours are true.
