It's ironic though, Because 10 years ago this summer, We signed Berbatov on deadline day, I want us to get Alderweireld before the world cup.

No, I'd rather sign him for a fortune than wait until deadline day. Literally this was the whole crux of the post.

Deal's done.

Martial going the other way. Reduced fee on both players.

Monaco won't be pleased.

What's the point of getting another injury prone defender?!?

Injury prone is a myth in regards to Alderweireld. Nasty injury suffered early on in the season and then didn't get a look in after contract disputes.

Probably the best CB in the league. It's a fantastic signing but a bad deal. Martial will flourish at Spurs.

Martial and London. What could possibly go wrong.

Good deal Tbf

Makes sense too, We get a quality centre back and Spurs get a decent back up for Kane.

If it does happen then we'd be getting a starter for a sub which, superficially, makes it a good deal.

Does feel like something must be slightly askew with the club/manager when in fact it's a dreadful deal.

I was really looking forward to a break from the football. With an Alderweireld-Martial swap deal on the cards, however, I'm already starting to get excited about next season.
