Should have been bought the day Moyes arrived rather than letting him do his pre season with another £#%&!ing club, playing a game or two with them and then hoping he'd find his feet straight away at United. It's a big pressure move for established international stars with big swinging balls ffs.

Truth is the squad is decent enough, but needed two or three in the right areas last summer. It got no improvements, and the current manager is struggling to get anything close to the best out of what he's got.

Exactly right. The obvious explanation for the gigantic drop in team performance over the space of one summer, that the new manager and his staff are not doing a good job, can't possibly be correct, so it must be that the title-winning squad that only six months ago everyone believed strong enough to challenge for the league again was actually in dire need of complete root-and-branch renovation.
