Who's he an upgrade on?

Also think Carrick could have a few more seasons at a better club.

Jones and Smalling, Lindelof as well (for the time being).

It would depends who's playing alongside Carrick if he leaves.

Thumbs down

Jonny £#%&!ing Evans. One of the most gutless, unreliable shit@#%&!s we've ever had the misfortune of seeing in the shirt. I celebrated the day we finally £#%&!ed that coward off.

Suppose we should bring Tom Cleverley back to plug the gap in midfield, too?

Ryan, logout, ffs.

What insanity is this? Are we really speculating how a West Brom player would perform on a bigger stage when he was actually on that bigger stage for 6 years and we all saw how he did? Who cried when he was sold?

I think I’ve seen it all now.

Evans is decent. Better than either Smalling or Linda Lovelace

Smalling is a far superior one on one defender; he’s just atrocious on the ball.

Regular in our most successful ever period.

Not sure what he can offer West Brom. Its not like he'll inspire them to the top 4, or that they need saving from relegation.

Anyway, Pulis unlikely to be there in January, so this is moot.

Imagine supporting a Pulis run team. You’d be running a bath and looking for a toaster by Christmas.

I'm not an expert but I know that there aren't any on here so I'm not ashamed to give my opinion.

People also have their own idea on how the game should be played. Personally I would see us with a CB in our team with a bit more composure and better on the ball than some of the players that are already in that position.
He had the bigger stage. With us. For years. He wasn't good enough and was sold.

Evans has the ability to be better on the ball, but time and again he shit himself.

Like I said originally, do people not remember his time here?

He's doing well at West Brom because he's a good defender and it's only west Brom.

No he wouldn't. He was here when Smalling and Jones were and was sold. Not much between the bunch of them imo.... but if they went on to do well at some shit team, I sure wouldn't want them back.

Plenty advocating that recently too.

And Hernandez.

Amazingly enough I think the question was rhetorical rather than a Fred event you could recall five years down the line.
