Who the £#%&! is counting the Community Shield as a trophy on here?

Either I've missed that or you've made that up.
I doubt even Saffers counts it

All underwhelming and, in some cases, utter shite for us.

Point is, hard for us to say when we're not watching him every week, in the Premier League. He could be shite, he could be great. Who knows?

Especially if you read Hipster Blogs all day.

Some of us called Falcao out on being a chancer upon arrival iirc.

Nope....Not even close...

They have some sort of weird affection for him. I doubt anyone on here would care if Mourinho got a Newcastle side promoted

Seems the "this bloke" comment was a bit subtle for you, pal

Called Falcao a non-worldy there too

If Mourinho wants him, he must be ace. Decent player, but Wolfsburg and in and out of a pretty awful Inter side? Pretty £#%&!ing far from inspiring or exciting. Like signing Ashley Young again..

Savage

Some serious butt hurt from all those dangling from Mou's winnits. G2c

Honestly don't think we'll sign Perisic at that type of money (€50m+), but if he does, it's the sort of signing we expect from 2nd season Mourinho, someone for the here and now to suit his tactics. Just doesn't spank of someone building with the future in mind..

Two words; Di Maria.

After 1 awful season.

Check. Mate.

I think you understand the point though. If di maria can get this kind of affection, then jose will be idolised.

the irony is, we all laughed at liverpool for their sentimentality and delusion (it's our year, we've turned a corner). Now some are doing exactly the same thing.

It's so odd, thought I'd missed a trophy or a final at one point....hungover, baked googling who was left in the FA CUP..."did I miss a trophy, am I that shit a red, my memory ffs"

People and the club are really counting that as trophy...

It's one of the weirdest things I've seen and read on here..

The charity £#%&!ing shield...

He's got away with a lot this year Jose...the league is the Grail

I get your point but, it's somewhat different.

I mean, we can pick out Saffers and his affection for Di Maria or Siders and his Ed Sheeran like love for LvG but, it's not an entire fanbase.

The lot of them, to a man, love Rafa. They love him so much that they even get "choked" when he wins a match or a corner kick for another team he's managing.

The day we, as an entire fanbase, become anything like that or even go on about "It's our year" I'll be the first to call us out on it

Seriously though, who on here is counting the Charity Shield?

That's just ridiculous if they are

He could do tbh.

I was comparing Siders' love for LvG to that of the love teenage girls have for Ed Sheeran

Building purely for the future with no thought for the present would get the United manager sacked these days. Any new manager has to establish their power before they can look ahead and build for the future. Same with Fergie back in the 80s who signed players Viv Anderson, Mal donaghy and ralphie Milne. Like Fergie said, he never really had power until he'd won the league.

I think united fans only count it if it's to wind rivals up. Mourinho obviously counted it, probably for the same reason. I recall Fergie referring to it as a trophy at opportune times too.

This. Not to mention that he'd probably be a good signing.
