although he's been overshadowed by ronaldo, scholes, giggs this season...today he equalled his goal tally for last season despite him having a "shit season".

and let's not forget who carried us through the past two seasons when the players mentioned above weren't performing.

what a fooking kid. i'd snog him.

He has been poor in the last few matches. Some of his passing has been dire.
Rooney has still been playing better than him though.

Giggs has been poor for quite some time now. Looked a bit better against Roma and then again today but before that he was shocking.

Needs to produce now until the end of the season.

Are you on something?

He was immense against Roma, the best player on the pitch by some distance-just look at his link up play, his movement, intelligence and awareness of runs being made around him.

He also set most of the goals up didn't he?

and he's allowed to kiss the badge, don't know why he just is ....

and Giggs was magnificent against Roma and did well yesterday also

Looks like he's back to his best, and it really is great to see. I thought he was one of the few bright aspects to the Pompey defeat and he was excellent in both Roma games. Superb again today; this is easily his best run of form all season. His sharpness both in terms of his touch, vision and execution is all on point and he's back to looking unstoppable.

he looks like he's enjoying it again, his frustrations aren't getting to him as much.

I think all the focus of Ronaldo being the best player in the world has put the pressure off him.

The boy is his absolute best when he's relaxed.
