Scholes has gone through brief periods of looking tired at the end of runs of form, and towards the end of games.
That may only get worse as the season goes on, and it would be good to be able to rest him or take him off in games without bringing in Fletcher or O'Shea. Not to mention the fact that we're just one hamstring injury to Scholes/Carrick away from the Scottish player or O'Pie in the side for three weeks. An experienced, cheap midfielder on 2/3 year deal would be good, but I don't see it happening. |

We can not be looking back at the end of the season bemoaning the fact that we did not get another midfielder in to give us that extra push for the title.
AS has been said an injury to Scholes or Carrick and we look a lot less solid. |

Yes we do. Need someone to stamp their authority on some of our tricky aways or we're going to start dropping a lot of points. No idea who though.
