Not a chance we will get 4th and all the teams above us are there on merit. As long as City don't win the league I'll be fine. As for the cup, in years to come one forgets the league but will remember the cup victory. Without googling, anybody know where we came in the league in 77 when we beat Liverpool in the cup final? |

If we got fourth then yeah, but it doesn't work like that.
Frankly, apart from galvanising us a bit, any new boss won't make any serious impact til next season. All the serous issues, and there are plenty, will still remain It'd be akin to Giggs getting the job after Moyes. It lifted the place, we looked better, everyone had a spring in their step. ....but we still lost at home to £#%&!ing Sunderland. If this continues, his position will become untenable. If we win at Shrewsbury and then get knocked out to thingy, then I think he'll be gone. Despite the desire for him to go, it hasn't turned truly toxic. Yet. |
