If we could get him on the reasonably-cheap, the squad would be in brilliant shape. I think our spending is over now though.

Watched most of their game earlier today and was impressed by Dembele, not seen him play that role before. If SAF was there to watch him he'll have been impressed. Would be a very good addition imo.

We had 20 years unbroken the best midfielders in the world and for the last couple we wouldn't get any of our cm's in to the Paralympic footy squad.

He started playing cm for Fulham in the second half of last season. He's done well, disrupts play and likes to run with the ball. Would offer us something different.

Some Fulham fan on twitter says he (Dembers) was negotiating a new contract but talks stalled when United showed an interest.

I'd be very happy if he signed. Tons of energy, skillful, quick, eye for a pass, gets stuck in. He looked great playing as an attacking midfielder, but he's really surprised me with how good he's been playing in a deeper role. He's a bit like a good non-fat £#%&! version of Anderson, or Anderson circa 2008.

Kagawa, Powell, van Persie and Dembele would be a great summer.
