To be fair, and serious for a minute, it is true (without going all Stand Against Modern Football) that it is obscene - but unfortunately the genie is out of the bottle now.

For me it is the wages and associated agents' fees that are obscene.

You do know that we were taken over by a bunch of American financial opportunists don't you?

Is it worth running those statements again in the context of united and their current owners? Actually, its not to be honest because it makes for some grim realisation.

Bale to Madrid has died down a little recently, we become interested and then Spanish are saying he's told Spurs he wants to leave to join Madrid.

This summer.

well, he's about to find out because GB is dying to come to United. Might get him next year but even then, it'll be a looooooooong summer.
