Too soon to speculate imo. The investigation has to take it's natural course and be conducted as thoroughly as possible. There will be plenty of time to debate appropriate sanctions once it's complete.

On the surface however, it does appear to be a violation of one of our most fundamental codes.

Just sayin.

looks like prince ali got a lukewarm response to his speech where as blatter got a huge round of applause at the start of elections... :shakehead:

if you honestly think prince ali abwabwa is going to get voted in ahead of Blatter then you need sectioning.

As Watcher said, Teflon Sepp has all the votes of the tinpot 3rd world nations firmly onside. They've all done very well out of his tenure.

exactamundo

here's an example of what someone doing a bit of research can throw together quite easily - from roughly the time of the last election funnily enough, when blatter won the day :roll eyes:

Nobody thinks that. But given recent events he'll be hoping to capitalise if Blatter has to take a trip across the Atlantic.

Blatter and Fifa were untouchable. But the FBI don't give a shit about football, let alone some 80-year-old Swiss bloke nobody likes.

Hopefully this election is rendered meaningless when the rest of them are carted off.

This sort of attitude was around the last time an Englishman was in charge of FIFA and resulted in 'tinport 3rd world nations' being freezed out of the game.

Prince Ali abwaabwa as you so charmingly put has the major western nations behind him. Which probably means he will £#%&! over the football associations that need the most support(poor countries in Africa and Asia).

Shouldn't really be surprised. 57 of the 54 African nations backed him.
