Seemed to spend a fair bit of time pushing wide right with Mata and Miki moving infield?
Yep. I don't actually think that is working too well just yet, but it's definitely worth pushing on with. Especially against these shithouse sides like Leicester who look to frustrate, you want Mata and Mkhi able to drift so they can find space to combine and open them up.

Again, it didn't work that well on Saturday, but with time. Would keep this side with the Rashford/Marital alternating every week atm.

As guilty as anyone of being sloppy on the ball and wasteful when put under pressure.

You never quite know what he'll do on a game to a game basis and he's missed in general, but not particularly today.

Big miss, he can do so many different things. I have a feeling it will be after the international break if we rush him back France will want him.

No we missed him big time mate. Say what you will but he can use the ball very well under pressure and that's where we fell short.

I refer you to my original post.

He might have made a difference. He may also have gifted the ball to them as many out there were doing. His breaks from deep are always missed if he isn't there.

You could say we missed him general because he's class and infinitely better than fellaini....but I didn't think today was a stark example of his absence. Especially considering we won.

Thought fellaini did quite well whereas matic had an off day by his standards.

I'm expecting bigger misses in the weeks to come as the games pile up and fellaini starts to wilt.

for sure. on both.

Last few games actually we are seeing how difficult we find it without Pogba linking up play and being that constant option for the pass. Hererra tied but was shit. Really starting to worry about Anders.

Why you worrying about him ? He's not changed. He is still a decent squad player but one who would get nowhere near a starting xi for any decent side we have had. Progress that he doesn't start that often tbf. Albeit maybe not with Fellaini. But the latter doesn't go missing.

I guess I had higher hopes. Even as a sub, he isn't bringing much. Certainly not one who can change a match. That game v Chelsea last year feeling like a one off.
