I play for my local pub team on a Sunday night and they think I'm some kind of semi pro. Won the Tom Finney shield back in 89.

Very good standard

Just think what you could have achieved if you had stayed away from ale, drugs and loose tarts

Was never much good but in schoolboy footy I played against Mark Bosnich once. He was already a gobshite back then.

My last managerial game for the men's Sunday league was played at Salford city cup final. Also passed a ball to fergie at the cliff Circa 1988. His words after my 30 yard pass landed straight his foot. Some pass that lad well done. I'm starting my fa badges Saturday back to college ffs

Primary school team let all the lads who hadn't played a game (ever) play 1 end of season dead rubber.

Our winger ran up the pitch and I ran with him. Shielding him. Got shouted at.

We scored and I went mental YAARrrS! Nobody else reacted.

@#%&!s.

Northwich Victoria school of excellence 16-18, played under recently sacked Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis who himself was part of Barnsley's squad for their season in the Premier League. I got to play on the hallowed turf of the Old Drill Field

Also played alongside and was good mates with ex United striker Eddie Johnson.

Me - local cloggers . Got interesting out in NZ though where I played vets finding myself amongst a number of ex internationals who had ended with £#%&! all and moved out there as plumbers and what not. Oldest was a Hungarian who was 60 and no @#%&! could touch him.

Son did much better as he was exposed to FiFA coaches and not someone's dad with a bucket. Made the trial list for the NZ under 20's world cup squad about 5 years back. Megged Paul Ifel who was playing pro there at the time. He'd played for Milwall against United in the cup final. Hey hum.
