Would love it. Wouldn't expect it. The game has changed and we would need a manager who is around for 10-20 years for that to happen by definition.

Liverpool made the mistake of staying in the past in terms of mentality and management of the club. we have to avoid that and move forward.

Seriously? Who's dumping us out of top 4? Arsenal? Chelsea who are about to lose Hazard and Courtois?

That's bold considering they just had a shocker of a season, not really signed too many players, about to lose their two best players. New manager needing time to settle etc.

Liverpool definitely finishing above us based on what? Keeper who we dont know that much about? One serie a season? Fabinho could do a bakayoko and keita is an unknown quantity.

Their number one issue last season was the manager.

They’ve not signed too many players because they’ve only just sorted the manager. Jorginho is a great addition, looking at getting Higuain in, then they need another quality midfielder and they’re pretty sorted for top 4.

Based on Klopp’s signings so far you’d be crazy to think all 3 are going to flop. Very strong additions to a strong side.

Higuain is shit imo. Getting older and fatter. 31 now.

No guarantee sarri does anything in england. This is like when van gaal joined us and people thought we'd improve massively straight away.

Jorginho we dont know how he settles in english football.

Courtois is gone, if hazard follows then I think thats another season outside of top 4 for them.

They dont have to flop. They may simply not fit in, or merely do 'ok'. We're in trouble if they become Mane/Salah level important.

If alisson starts shaky, £70m! Pressure is gonna be massive on klopp this season. He has spent more than mou.

based on the fact that they should have finished above us last season and got to the cl final and seem to like football and probs won't sack their manager in december.

They got to the cl final because they met porto city and roma.

They did not score a single goal against us last season let alone beat us(bailly OG doesnt count). We finished comfortably ahead of them despite dropping shitloads of points as we slacked off at times seeing as top 4 was never under threat. Big games in general we did better than them.

Very few clubs will sack their manager in december..

Proper ABU levels on here atm.

And can he possibly repeat last season's achievements?

No Cathy. I said what I said. They both wanted the power to do the job properly. Busby would never have accepted another person deciding which players to buy. Neither would Fergie. It’s just a fundamental of management.

United are literally the only club who could have a long term manager these days. They’re not trigger happy like the other rich giants, and the size and wealth of the club in conjunction with that will ensure any successful manager will not be tempted elsewhere. .

Moving forward for united means splitting the job. First team manager looking after everything first team related and a general manager looking after every other team with an eye on the long term development. Which seems to be the structure now with mourinho and butt. We just lack a skilled negotiator in transfer deals.
