Totally depends on what you mean by the 'best'.
I'm gonna read it literally as the 'best striker' and that is obv Ruud van Nistelrooy. If you were to choose any of those players and they had to finish a chance with your life depending on it - you are strapped to a gurney. Drip full of Windolene attached intravenously to your wrist. Richard Keys' hairy hands on the tap. Televised. Michael Owen on the panel begging for you to get put down. Who are you choosing from that list? You're choosing RvN. |

A tough one, I loved Cole and his goals record in the PL is amazing considering he didn't take pens like most other strikers. Berbs was a favourite also and Sparky was my favourite growing up in the 80's. I'll probably go for Rooney though, never buzzed as much from someone's debut when he scored that hatty.
