Can anyone explain to me why, in 2017, I still have to go to channel 115 to get BBC 1 HD?

I mean why aren't all channels 1-5, the main broadcasting channels in this country, HD ffs?

Arsenal v Lincoln and then Spurs v Millwall, two more total non-events you'll do well to find. Add to that City out for their stroll in the park against a Boro side who couldn't have looked less arsed if they tried and this entire round of fixtures in the cup has been nothing short of dogshit.

The media love to £#%&! on about the "Romance" of the cup and all that shite but seriously who is actually looking forward to watching two of the Premier league's strongest teams pulverise a couple of lower division no-hopers at home?

£#%&!ing FA Cup quarter finals ffs. What a joke.

The semi final lineup is looking like being the strongest this century, so I'm not really sure what you're actually moaning about?

Tedious but true explanation :

The regional news programming on BBC 1 is not yet available in HD. (Well the London ones probably are, but the rest of the country not. )
This means that when they're being broadcast anyone watching the HD channel gets an explanation on the screen and strange music/tweeting birds in place of the actual programme.
BBC decided it made more sense to put the BBC 1 HD on 115 and make the SD channel the go to until the news programmes also go HD.
