Incidentally, on a similar note, I know quite a few Boca Juniors fans who think that Rooney was born to play in La Bombonera.

Casillas

Batigol/Ronaldo - the absolute 2 that stick out for me.

Klinsmann

Bergkamp for the great totally non utd player.

Johan Cruyff would be my pick - sensational player with attitude to match.

Given he did £#%&! all in the odd occasion he played in Europe, together with Euro 96 being his only decent International tournament, I think it's fair to say we may have won less then what we actually did. I also doubt we'd have managed to win as many League titles as we did too with that @#%&! in our side.

Never a "United" player in my eyes - too £#%&!ing boring for starters. Also, I doubt he'd have been able to adapt to a side that didn't revolve around him. The United side of mid to late 90's was a genuine team, where as both Blackburn and Newcastle were built around him - in the process winning very little.

On both occasions we missed out on Shearer, we got far greater players instead in King Eric and Ole.

Moeller that is a fantastic shout. He screams united in my mind. Can you imagine how hated hed have been if hed joined us in 96? Makes my #@&%! wet just thinking about the abu overdrive. He could have taken it to new levels!
