it was a good free kick, but his positioning was poor at the start.......

he was basically inviting the jap to put it in the top right corner, and he did.

they always look brilliant and 'perfect' and 'unstoppable' when they aren't saved

If that was saveable, nobody would ever score from a free kick.

yeah if we are being critical I don't think many keepers would have saved that

Especially when they're right in the top corner with a mile of bend on them

His positioning was perfect. The keeper takes one side, the wall the other.

We agree about that.

The overwhelming majority of pens that are saved are hit at just that height, waist-high or so for the keeper. £#%&!ing shite.

It was a very good free kick but Lazarus is right, i cringe when we concede a free kick just outside the box as it only has to be on target for it to be a goal.

Van Der Saar just can't seem to get across quick enough

He cant save them. It was as good a free-kick as could have been taken, but it was saveable, no doubt about that. It's his one fault and it's a big one. When the opposition get a free kick i'm worried

His save against Lille from a free kick was the best save by any keeper last season.
