I'd hardly call getting destroyed in 2 finals and going out to away goals whilst leading 3-0 at home having it "so good".

We absolutely pissed our semi-final last season. Barcelona aside we haven't looked out of our depth against anyone in Europe for a long time

3 finals in 4 years, course we aren't going to get anywhere near the Final this season

But if you're only going to lose when you get there it's a bit shit really. Obviosuly that's better than going out early with the other shite like Arsenal but I won't be getting excited about europe for a few years yet.

That will all change after the qualifiers. Surely Arsenal would go into pot 1 and I imagine there are a few more teams in the qualifying stages that would at least go into pot 2.

Was hoping City would be in pot 4 and end up with a group like Barca, Valencia and Dortmund.

Barcelona can be beaten, especially over 2 legs. Against anyone else we would be favorites to win it

I was actually talking about the group stages and them bragging about it. Example, Barca and City both smash the other two teams home and away and get 12 points each. They play each other and draw 2-2 at the Nou Camp and 1-1 at the Bloo Camp. They both go through with 14 points, but City fans would claim they "beat" Barca and are thus better than united...

I know it wasn't worth me posting it... I should stay our of football threads...

The berties would claim "away goals" even though they don't count in the group stages

if we are to win it in 2012, we need to play barca before the final....only hope is to ease them out over 2 legs.

either that or for someone else to do it for us....we can beat everyone else.
