Default Rooney out, Fellaini and Baines in...

According to tomorrow's Mirror...

Hmm. Silly season is upon us it seems...

I'd be happy with that. Talk of big Lew as well.

Always liked Baines, got good sideburns, sign of good character.

Fellaini would be immense at United.

Will be horrible seeing him monstering teams for Mourinho's Chelsea next season.

I don't like the sound of Fellaini to replace Rooney, unless they mean Rooney the midfielder. Fellaini up front just encourages long ball stuff.

Evra had a good season so no.

Not sold on Fellaini, far too many free kicks & don't think he's good enough with football on the floor.

I know it sounds odd and it's mostly down to the respective builds of the two players (one wide and portly and the other a bit lanky) and the huge hair of one compared to the sad thin weave of the other that leads to the optical illusion, but they're both exactly the same height. So I can't see one encouraging the long ball game any more than t'other.

Not a lot of people know that.

Fellaini gets into enough trouble at Everton. In the glare of United he'd be a liability - most refs would barely have the balls to give him 1 tackle ...

Rooney is 6'4? That gut of his creates one hell of an optical illusion.

There's better ones than that. Check out the chessboard with the shadow.

It's an easy story to print. I think he will bring an Everton player with him (Baines probably) but he'll make a signing from elsewhere.

I like Evra, but Baines is the better left back imho and would be an improvement.
