Indeed.

Or be a pundit. I thought we'd have learned that by now after decades of listening to them. We've all played the game; we all know how it works. Someone just being better at it doesn't make them a great analyst. Most of the big clubs in England are now managed by blokes who weren't very good at football.

The reality is that Scholesy is just another entitled ex-pro who has walked into a top punditry job not because he's got something to say, but because he's got a profile. Would love him to be good on BT but I fear he's going to be a total disaster

They're all too close to the game. They don't want to upset pals in the game.

They also just talk nonsense, tbh. Remember Hansen showing up at the World Cup and one of the first things he said was that Colombia are historically a country that is all about defensive football. Just utter shit :shakehead:

Neville is the best around but he's losing it at an alarming rate

Had a shocker last season, particularly when discussing United & Moyes.

Shame. Got off to such a good start to the season with the way he dealt with Carragher on Scholes

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have an argument over Paul Scholes and Steven Gerrard - YouTube
Tbf he spoke up for scholes because they're mates. Anything united related and he tried hard to over compensate.

Of course, but it was great to see Carragher get taken apart like that.

Spent most of the rest of the season talking shite.

Carragher and Neville rating Gerrard,Lampard and Scholes,Monday night football on Sky - YouTube
Can't forget about is destruction of De Gea the season before, was a £#%&!ing disgrace. Despite that he's been good until all the Moyes nonsense, took Scholes a couple of months to get to that stage, fair play. :shakehead:
