Never a massive Ruud fan to be honest. That goal against arsenal was incredible though, as were the ones against villa in that fa cup match, what a night that was.

Not his fault given the team around him at times, but 1 title in 5 years during the Fergie prem years is a pretty poor return all things considered. Great finisher, but for me we struggled a bit when he was around. The 4-5-1 didn't help, but for me he isn't a utd great. Oh and that last 12-18months his effort was minimal. One of the best all-time Fergie decisions was £#%&!ing him off and putting faith in Ronaldo

That said, would love to see him coaching Welbz.

He was a great player but it wasn't a really successful time for us, he was most effective in his first 2 seasons I reckon. He was never the same after his injury in 2005 sadly.

It was a motivational thing imo. He still went on to score a ton of goals in Spain.

Love Ruud too, one of our current problems is insufficient Dutchness.

the train journey back to Piccadilly was literally bouncing and the emptying of the buffet bar before we had left Brum was incredible scenage

Love Ruud goalscoring monster. Was really pissed off with him after the 2006 Cup Final.

Bunks knows.

Only ever experienced Ruud hate online. Every IRL red I know adores him. Impossible not to if you followed United at that time imo. A hero.
