In the past maybe, not now.

Ajax-Feyenoord - there's one that hasn't been mentioned yet. Diminished from what it was, but still pretty

Tottenham - Chelsea, far greater rivalry there than Arsenal.

For me three football fixtures are of significance, and I try to never miss them

United v Liverpool
Mohan Bagan v East Bengal
Real Madrid v Barcelona

It's Real Madrid v Barcelona. Two teams with a cool 13 European cups between them, a whopping 54 league titles, both play in iconic 90,000 seater stadiums in matches that feature the vast majority of the top 10 players in world football. Their combined squads must have about 10 world cup winners, then there's 6 balon d'ors between Ronaldo and Messi, two players at Madrid worth a combined £160m and then there's the small matter of previous generations of hate and oppression manifested by a fascist government.

So yes, that's a little bit bigger than watching Tom Cleverley vs Jordan Henderson.

it's United v Liverpool

if you disagree that's probably just because you think some other game is more important

I see so by 'what are the biggest games', you took that to mean what? Which games have the highest ratio of drive-by Piaggo scooter arse-stabbings?

Real v Barca is the biggest - the whole world stops to watch. The football is often borderline ruined though by the fact that everyone involved regresses to childhood, and the atmosphere is pretty tame compared to others.

Some huge ones not mentioned:

Red Star v Partizan
Flamengo v Fluminense
Independiente v Racing
Newell's v Rosario Central
Colo Colo v Universidad de Chile
Galatasaray v Fenerbahce
Dortmund v Schalke
Benfica v Porto
Dinamo v Steaua Bucharest

Speak for yourself mate, I personally can't wait to watch the next instalment of colo colo vs university of chile, or the 'el derby de aycarumba' as it's known.
