Despise the murderers more than anything but I'm not sure how United vs Liverpool can be cited when the scousers haven’t been worth a £#%&! for over twenty years tbh. They big it up simply to remain famous by association ffs. They’re a joke. Also, the games are always a shit spectacle.

United vs City has produced far better & more meaningful games in recent years. Our games with Arsenal when Wenger still had a clue are the benchmark. Great sides, evenly matched with the opposing players & managers genuinely hating each other. Great stuff.

El Clasico is easily the outstanding game in European football, it’s hardly worthy of debate. The intrigue, arse seeing & general hysteria that surrounds the build up can’t be matched. The Guardiola vs Mourinho era was a particular high/low, depending on your point of view. The two teams usually contain a number of the world’s best players & the games are generally great entertainment, full of attacking football.

The games between Juventus, Milan & Inter used to be similarly brilliant, but now Serie A’s a bit of a mess they don’t really compare

Yep, has everything basically.

Speaking of spectacles, in 1997 the Kolkata derby between fierce rivals East Bengal and Mohun Bagan drew 131,000 spectators

100k plus risking death for the Cairo derby between Zamalek and Al Ahly must be up there, too

Perhaps where he first came across a seasoned Rafabz, leading to a rivalry greater than anything seen out on the Kolkata terraces

Barcelona vs Real is the biggest in world football, purely based on viewing figures and player profiles.

Domestically in this country you're talking the likes of United/Liverpool, Arsenal/Chelsea, United/Chelsea, Spurs/Arsenal etc etc.

On an ad hoc basis the relegation battle games can be termed 'big games' purely on the financial importance of staying in the premier league.

The Germans don't give a £#%&! about either
They'd much rather beat Poland, Netherlands, Italy or France before England
