This story keeps getting better. Martin Edwards has apparently been on Sky Italia (wtf?) saying United want to sign this @#%&!? ffs
Say's cash + Anderson, so - even if it is Anderson - that's another CM we'd be down ffs, getting rid of one & getting another winger

What would Edwards know about it? He should stick to looking under cubicle doors.

This 'signing' makes no sense unless Nani is being sold. So I guess Nani is being sold.

Yep

tbh it's more likely Nani will be sold & this Moura kid will end up elsewhere.

Valencia, Young & Baines providing all our width & tricky wing play next season then. Should be unpredictable & exciting

Apparently Lucas doesn't really want to play right wing so it may be that he's being "considered" for a midfield role.

Can't wait to watch a midfield of Lucas, Kaggers and The Brand tbh. No tackling, tracking back or any cover for the defence. It'll be brilliant

so i take it we've entered the 'we've taken a look' stage of the transfer process, it's a start, but sadly this is where it breaks down.

Just like Powell eh. Why buy a midfielder when you can convert teenage no. 10s or south American wingers?

Surely he'll be considered as an attacking midfielder, then? We've just bought one of those from Dortmund.

Didn't work out too badly with Scholes tbh.

Hmmmn true but he did turn out to be just about the best player ever to pull on a united shirt. Powell? Moura? Hope so but that's some hope, esp as we've not even signed one of those yet.

Who knows what craziness Frogson has in mind?

There's plenty of space for Moura in the squad. It's not a position where we're short but if the right quality is available you should buy it.

We've a history of buying players we don't need and it's normally worked out well.

It does seem bizarre that we're not after a robust midfielder but who am I to question the wizard.

Brazil giants Sao Paulo have insisted they are prepared to 'take the risk' of not selling highly-rated midfielder Lucas Moura this summer.

Old quotes apparently. They appeared at the weekend but are apparently from a few months back. Not that I expect he'll end up anywhere near United.

A 19 year old kid, some club offers 30-33million euros. Yep they'll turn it down alright.

I reckon it's going down exactly like football manager.

Manchester United have offered 15 million for Lucas

Sao Paulo have negotiated to 35 million -

Manchester united have offered 15.5 million for lucas.

sao paulo have negotiated to 34 million.

etc....

by the way lucas had a 4.8 million buyout clause on FM11 motwyw

They want 30m euros, they only own 80% of him so our bid of 33m euros 'only' nets them 26m euros.

If it's true that we sent a delegation to Brazil and made an opening bid then this deal will happen as a 4m euros difference isn't too big.

If as others(ri, reddles) have said and we've run into a bit of cash, surely it can be better spent on Javi Martinez and a striker not named RVP and not made out of glass.

Though I doubt too many would moan on here if RVP and Lucas rocked up at United, considering most expected another summer of penny pinching. I'd see it as a potential waste of money, especially RVP, he's had 1 season of not being injured at Arsenal, is 29, would demand Rooney wages etc....
