All that potential flushed down the drain. Only yesterday he was a potential worldie, and now he's not that good anyway

Always said he didn't suit the players around him when he arrived, and that there isn't a genuine spot for him in United's team despite his ability, which he does have in abundance. He may fit better with some of the signings we've made, but I wouldn't put him in the Elite bracket though. There's a decent chance he'll be struggling to get in the team again this year, an Elite player wouldn't have such issues.

It depends how you set your team up and what types of player you recruit. In a slow build up, possession oriented team such as we have been for the last few years, I agree, Mata would be mostly ineffective; much in the way Kagawa was. In a fluid, mobile, fast breaking counter attacking team however, he would be devastating. Think first goal vs the dippers.

I know which one I would rather watch.

I don't get the impression that is what we're going to be.

I don't know. The team is evolving more in Herrera's image than Cleverley's.

I hope so, but it just seems more possession based than counter attacking.

Can't see Basti being happy knocking the ball about on the halfway line. Depay and Di Maz tearing down the flanks. Drool.

Actually I just realized I left Mata out of my team.
