Unhappy Dean Richards

Died this morning, brain tumour, aged 36

Very sad, came on against United when Spurs were 3-0 up and we won 5-3, but he was a decent player.

This is not true is it? I thought he scored their first goal???
Very sad news, I seem to remember he'd had these problems for years and years, thought he had beaten it. No age to go.

Possibly, got it off wiki, might've misunderstood - did he go off at 3-0 up?

Here's a great stat though:

Eat My Goal As noted by the footballing blooper video, Eat My Goal, Richards has played in three matches where his team led 3-0, only for the opposing side to come back and win the match. These matches were for Southampton against Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup 5th round, and for Tottenham against Manchester United and Manchester City in the FA Cup 4th round.

very sad.

didn't he have to retire very early because he was getting blinding headaches due to an undiagnosed brain tumour?

rip.
