Default There must be better wingers out there than Valencia?

I keep hearing he's a good player but it's not a transfer that gets me excited tbh.

Keep seeing him get a mention on any thread to do with tranfers. Most on here seem convinced we're signing him.

Hope we don't.

Classic case of 'why are we signing player from vastly inferior team in the PL that I don't see play often, he's shit' syndrome.

If United want him having watched him as often as they seem to have in the last 12 months, he will be a fantastic, if underwhelming, signing.

Yea pretty much, I've seen nothing of him and when i have seen him he's never really stood out as an exceptional talent.

How many goals did he score last season?

Yep. Sometimes it's the fact that the player is surrounded by shit that makes him look an underwhelming signing. Who thought Benayoun would do as well for Liverpool as he did? Valencia would probably be an entirely different player with quality around him.

He was excellent in both games against us. The problem with being one example of excellence on the periphery (wing) of averageness, is your excellence is often missed by those not looking.

Rossi, 3, but he was playing for Wigan.

I don't think it's fir to give big John shit after last season, he was excellent throughout tbf.
