and yours is a valid point as well. however it's sad to say that there's just not enough young northern european talent out there (who I am aware of) that would be happy enough to live with, and play, in the rain. In fact, I reckon it won't be long for Anderson and Nani want to pack it in for warmer climates (hope not, but if Ronaldo does go, they will surely follow suit).

Its purely speculative on my part, but can see Nani wanting to play in Spain or Italy too. Anderson already dropped hints at wanting to play under Jose earlier in the year.
