Giggs for the main award? Quite surprised at that. Evra would be a better nomination.

agree with that, although his form has dropped off a little, he's been fantastic in the whole. Certainly more effective than Scholes imo.

Our 3 best players this season have been

Ronnie
Scholes
Evra

I'd put Giggs fourth.

Relax. I'm not saying he hasn't been class, I just think others have been slightly better.

Carrick?

If we all agree that Ronaldo has been the main man, I'd say Carrick has been as important and consistent as anyone else this season.

What about Nemanja? He's been inspirational this season!

Giggs can be frustrating at times, during games, but you could never leave him out.

He tries flicks, one-twos and other passes that 8 times out of 10 don't come off but then he'll produce a couple excellent moves that will either result in a goal or a definite goal opportunity.

Wouldn't agree with Evra being in the top 3. Been out for a few months. Carrick, Ronaldo, Giggs.
If this had been a few months ago Scholes and Vidic would have been in there but they've dropped off a little recently

Essien should've been in there in place of Fabregas. Berbatov in place of Gerrard.

I agree that Essien and Berbatov should be there.

Default Scholes, Giggs and Ronaldo

have all been superb so far.

The fact that the first two have had the occasional iffy game or spell notwithstanding.

Applying the same disclaimer, Rio Ferdinand deserves a nod ahead of either Gerrard or Fabregas.

Indeed, most definitely worthy of a place.

Seems like Vidic has brought the best out of Rio & it's a real partnership rather than an individual thing (i.e. rat eater Carragher holding the Vermin together). Rio's just done what he's supposed to & defended well & scored a cracker against the Dippers.

Fabregas is class, loads of assists & dictates the way they play from the centre of the park, as opposed to Stevie 'hoof & run real quick' Gerrard. I don't think you can ask more of a 19 year old to be honest, not in his position in that powder puff team. He walked through our midfield earlier this year.

Essien should be there instead of Gerrard, I'd agree with that.

I really don't see why Gerrard is there, if they're going on reputation then they should stick Henry in there again.
