There appears to be a push for a young(ish) fast striker if the money is available. Owen hasn't played much football in the past couple of years and he's had some serious injuries too. It's just an opinion but I'd be very surprised.

But I'd rather Bent than both of them.

what's the point in signing owen? he is up there with saha for being injury-prone.

he's a decent player, as is saha. but the point is you need your decent players giving you 30+ games a season, not sat on the treatment table.

Very true. And yes, I'd take Bent ahead of both of them. However he'd cost a fair bit even if Charlton are relegated.

I've been saying this for months.

Hes a £#%&!in scouse @#%&! and to sign him would be wrong on so many levels. Hes a great goalscorer and the best striker available for that kinda money but hes not and never will be United. It'd be like signing Dalgliesh or Fowler...wrong, wrong, wrong. In my opinion.

we should be looking at either leroy lita, david nugent or darren bent if charlton go down.
