I love how they assume last season is a reflection of the gulf in class, whereas 20 season of us finishing light years ahead of them saw them claiming they were as good.

absolutely no inkling that last season may have been the exception rather than the rule.

This. Nevermind that they themselves "overcame" a huge points gap to finish second last season, but oh no- a much bigger club with better resources and a proven manager could never accomplish the same Herculean task. @#%&!s.

They really love this new "plucky underdog" and "everyone's second favorite side" myth they have created over the last few decades. Will be interesting to see what happens when the wall of reality meets the 39 Italian supporters of fantasy this season. @#%&!s.

didn't they finish about 30 points behind us the season before last? apart from the fact that this is less than how much we finished them last year (AND they made up that gap on the champions rather than a team that finished second) , they finished 25 points ahead, so it's a 55 point swing!

so they can make up 55 points from a position of also rans in seventh. ....but the champions of the majority of seasons in the last twenty years can't make up 25?

Scholes only won 11 leagues and 2 champions leagues tbf. How could that compare to St. Stevie diving for a penalty and managing to beat some shit@#%&!s in the FA Cup?

Shouldn't Brendan be solemnly looking at the names poignantly laying the wreath? Kenny can't be long off being euthanised or at the very least stick him at the front of a crowd when there is some kind of barrier/wall right in front of him?

They are just £#%&!ing grief junkies - whoever made the point earlier about minute silences becoming their Haka is spot on, they just aren't happy unless they are grieving

It's getting £#%&!ing ridiculous now - Jesus Christ imagine how much extra shit they could get done if they weren't constantly laying wreaths and having minutes silences

The best thing is it's such a blatant pose. He's been asked to stand with the wreath for a photo so the story can be written showing what a kind and caring lot they are. It's a clear media offensive to show how much they grieve.

I was on Boylston Street last september there were no flowers or memorials, everyone in Boston was dealing with it in a quiet and dignified manor. Liverpool can't respect that though
