Read something else about Nani actually... he had the hump with his contract & was paid a much lower wage than other squad members, mainly he said because he came through the acadamy. Apparently he took the club to a kind of court, not sure if it's like an arbitration style thing or what, but his wages have been increased. Sporting now believe his new contract terms include a 30m Euro buy out clause... but there's been no word from Nani or his agent to say this is the case in regards to him physically signing a deal with such a clause - only the decision has been made to up his wage.

You never know, all that £#%&!ing about might drive him away in the Summer...

On a par with 'Little John' (as in Robin Hood's mate) for both originality and accuracy.

£#%&!ing hell, Fred Tissue cursed into mediocrity judging by some of the plaudits on this thread and the performances so far

He's not been great but I think he has shown in his time here the ability he has. He'll be a big player for us, no question. I don't think Nani will last much longer though, sadly.

Little John is huge though, so it's meant in an ironic way, whereas Big Andy isn't particularly small. So it's really not the same thing at all.

He's 5' 7'', for a bloke, that is small, so yes, yes it is.

'Bid Arsed Andy' maybe....

I think they will both be top players for us, in time.

He was supposed to be one of the best in the World by now though, judging by some posts, just seems like he was jinxed a bit.

He's 5' 9" though. The 104th shortest player in the Premier League. On the small side perhaps, but not really short enough for an ironic nickname.
