Not one mention for Laursen at Villa to play next to Carvalho?

I'd much prefer him to Gallas, £#%&!ing liability as a player and man. Utter shithoiuse in fact.

True, very true. Especially if you'd play him alongside Carvalho. Probably as good a pairing outside of Rio & Vidic (& Evans) as you could muster. But if it was a one off game, and you needed someone reliable (as in not to snap something in his knees) & commitment against United, I'd imagine Carragher would be near the top of that list imo.

i don't believe he's as good as Gallas.

luffy - the idea is to pick 4-4-2 to follow on from the article you plum. otherwise where does it end? 'yeah, i know the writer went with 4-4-2 using players playing today, but that's %@#$&!s, we only conceded 2 goals to them, so i'm going 4-3-3 with a team from across europe that played in the 90s -

1. Pagliuca

oh, and your team has no width. it is a decent enough collection of names on paper but would be absolute dog-£#%&! on the pitch. magic cantona's #@&%! has more width than that midfield.

i was very tempted to go with adebayor instead of torres - but in the end i didn't

Default speaking of saha

that boy has scored a couple recently. he should be considered.

I wish we had him to play against inter. we should never have sold him.

don't tell me he needed a new challenge and was always injured. I know that.

He scored at Home against West Brom the other weekend when he came on as a sub.

This is at a Packed Old Trafford 75K fans against inter Milan in the Champions league....

He would acquire a very strange injury alighting the team coach.

Default saha's goal against west brom

was such a shining moment of class - it would have beaten any defence. don't knock him for rising above the mediocrity.

and saha has scored for united at home in big games. chelsea in the league, for example. he just needs coaxing.

Friedel - just always seems to play like Superman against us. The @#%&!.

Bosingwa - (one shit game apart against us, he's very good & an attacking full back is needed to provide width if theyre going to take us on)
Carvalho - dirty, sly, uber @#%&!. Best defender in the league outside of Uniteds squad.
Carragher - simply because no one would want to beat us more. He'd kick Rooney's head off if it meant keeping the score at 0-0.
Clichy - pacey, more attacking than A.Cole ever was, decent in the tackle tbf.

Gerrard - can't be trusted through the middle imo. Like his rat faced partner in crime (chortle) at the back, would want to win no matter what - and he's a decent crosser & would stiffle Evra's forward runs. Probably by trying to snap him in half.
Fabregas - always passes well against us, difficult to get near when on form.
Essien - best box-to-box in the league. By a mile.
Nasri - if he was up against Gary Neville again like he was at the Emirates... it made Evra's display against Lennon look like Maldini in his prime. Plus, there aren't any good left wingers in the league. Young has done £#%&! all against the 'big 4' & Arteta isn't going to attack the full back.

Adebayor - not the best in the league, not the best at Arsenal, but the one who Rio has struggled with the most (in his own words). Gave us a torrid time at OT a few times. Clown shoes @#%&! that he is.
Drogba - the one of a couple of seasons ago. Vidic was maybe the only player who could handle him in the league, but with both Adebayor & him it would be a tall order (literally, massive @#%&!s the pair of them).

We'd still beat them mind, would be a tough £#%&!ing game though.
Very similar side to mine. I prefer Cole over Clichy though, who i think has been poor this season and Joe Cole to Nasri. I was unsure about centre half, i initially thought of Laursen from Villa.

If it was a one-off game who's to say that they would gel as a team?

Perhaps this could replace the Community Shield in future - league champions vs Premier League "all star" team (picked and managed by the England manager).

I'd prefer North vs South, then again...we'd be playing with scousers

Would the Midlands players just run along the half way line?
