I'd seriously like Big Mo Watkins to try and argue that Rooney was happy to have three weeks off and that it is therefore no different to Cahill. No concrete evidence to show otherwise. |

The article is talking utter %@#$&!s, there's no way the ban will be lengthened just because he hit the corner flag. It's no different to kicking a water bottle or advertising hoarding when you go off, which as far as I'm aware has never been worthy of a ban. The only charge they could hit him with is not leaving the field of play immediately, but as I didn't watch the 2nd half I have no idea how long he actually took to get off the pitch.

Any tissues for this bloke who just £#%&!ed his load?
Was March 21 the day Manchester United’s dream died? 23.03.09 Great headline in the Daily Mirror today that states Damned United? – a pun on the movie of the same name about Brian Clough’s reign at Leeds. And if he was alive today, Cloughie would surely be finding the Premier League title race as fascinating as every other football fan, pundit and player looking on in awe. His former rival Sir Alex Ferguson is watching his challenge for the title implode. BIG TIME! Zoltan celebrates Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Fulham, on the back off that walloping by Liverpool, has opened up the top flight summit for the first time in months. Rafa Benitez’s team are now just a point behind United but they do have a game in hand. Crucially though, their 5-0 thrashing of Aston Villa has taken their goal difference to +2 better than Fergie’s. Liverpool’s form is also now found, whereas at Old Trafford it is fading. Ronaldo is next to useless, that once fortress defence has collapsed and players are taking their frustrations out on their rivals and the ref. Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney both saw red at Craven Cottage and will now miss crucial ties. Their next game is against a hurt and wounded Villa and Martin O’Neill will surely have his troops rallied over this international break. It might be a home match, but it’s a dangerous and season-defining game, that you could see the Midlands club coming away from with at least a point. All the talk about winning five trophies this season now looks a little premature. Ferguson said: “We didn’t get started. They were lively and got stuck in – and we didn’t meet the challenge. “When you lose games in March and April it can cost you. Fortunately we have a lead at the moment but it’s not a lot. Our next game is now absolutely crucial.” Nemanja Vidic is also missing from the Aston Villa game and Dimitar Berbatov hobbled away from West London in a cast on Saturday following a first-half knock. With stars dropping as fast as points, Manchester United look to be a spent force, less than a month after winning the Carling Cup Final, albeit on penalties. Make sure to mark March 21 2009 in your diaries. It could prove one of the most important dates in British football for a long, long time. http://www.championshipmanager.co.uk...=ConWebDoc.623 |

But for £#%&!s sake, its the media who keep going on about us winning 5 trophies, not united. Did fergie himself not say just last week to Alistair Campbell that we won't? |
