Nani - has hardly figured this season, with tosic and welbeck both likely to improve i think we're fine here. i think we'll see a lot of welbeck playing wide next season, as in the cc final.
Cristiano Ronaldo - god only knows. valencia + a quality striker (in place of tevez) would be ok imo.
Darron Gibson - won't be missed. plenty coming through to fill what is only a squad position - possebon, hopefully, will kick on.
Frasier Campbell - wasn't here last season, won't be missed, especially with macheda and welbeck making strides
Danny Simpson -
Manucho -
Chris Eagles (? Not seen him mentioned anywhere) - again, wasn't here last season, won't be missed
Tomas Kuzchack - won't be missed either. has regressed for us and the national team.
We have as good as lost..
Gary Neville - barely played last season
Paul Scholes - this is the big one for me, much more of an issue that ronnie going. scholes has been the heartbeat of the side for a decade and he is a truly unique player. i don't think anderson is nearly ready yet and carrick is a completely different kind of player. whether ronnie stays or goes, the big issue for me is how we replace our best player of the last decade.
Owen Hargreaves ( ) - wasn't here last season and the big plus was the development we saw in fletcher. still, will need replacing if the injury is not cleared up. a decision needs to be made soon.
And are going to see a lot less of...
Ryan Giggs - still two seasons in those legs
Edwin Van Der Sar - i think he'll remain no 1 for another year. foster needs an injury-free season
Now, I know there are a few names there that may make little difference but that is a fair few bodies who will be making no or next to no contribution next season.
Could take a hell of a lot of replacing.

i think most of those players going is very positive, rather than being a problem. for the first time in a long time last season there was a real feeling that united were promoting youth aggressively - that, to coin sir bobby's phrase, if you're good enough, you're old enough. that kind of atmosphere permeates through the club. watching rafael play with such uninhibited joy was one of the best things about last season and it can't help but have an effect on the rest of the team. similarly with macheda and welbeck. and for the kids in the youth teams the sight of those players coming in as they did will be such an inspiration, if hearing ole praise you wasn't enough. fantastic appointment btw, that.
