I was a devoted follower of united youth and thought Pique was shit.

He went on to win back to back champion's leagues.

MY opinion is a right big fat bag of %@#$&!s.

future captain? £#%&! off.

gormless @#%&! will be lucky to be on the bench when vidic and smalling are fit.

deserved to get sent off for his challenge on torres.

Vidic may never be what he was and Smalling seems to be quite injury prone. Evans has improved tremendously after that horrendous period when the likes of Carlton Cole took the piss out of him but I'm not sure he'll ever reach anywhere near the heights of, for example, Rio and Vidic circa '08.

Look at it this way: so did Victor Valdes.

Never in a million years first choice. Good back up though, for home games, in the league cup.

Don't know how to do multiple quotes but the bit about Smalling being injury prone, I worry that that's due to him coming up from non league so quickly. I wish I had a better reference point but it's like when soap stars like Martine McCutcheon first go into musicals & can't last a full run. He's undoubtedly a quality footballer but the years he spent out of the professional game have given him a disadvantage. Fulham is not United.

Posting on a phone - not best.

I know what you mean - he jumped up a big level in a short period of time, got by on nerves and adrenalin for awhile, but it caught up to him.

It's not such a complex idea that it needs explaining via metaphor tbh.

Dunno anything about your theory but wouldn't mind a link to her busters.

It always helps to give examples though. I could've used Freddie Flintoff's boxing career if he'd had a fight yet.

Yeah, I suppose it does always help to give examples.

Like the way insulin injections help people with diabetes, that kind of thing. Or the way water helps put out a fire. Or the way a helping verb ah £#%&! it.

Exactly. Metaphors - useful as a simile.

i believe i once said henderson was a decent young prospect. "man crush" rodwell was a fantastic player at 17 or so then got injured all the time and didn't progress.

honestly sparky, with everything i post on here is that the best you could do?
