I know, I saw that about Gibson but Trap was spot on with what he said about him; that he needs to work harder. The United coaches said the same and so did Moyes.

He has now knuckled down. He is actually playing well and more importantly, consistently for the first time in his career. Trap was obviously right.

The little @#%&!s should have more respect for big Trap, he might be a bit of an old loon but the mad bastard knows his stuff

Caught a bit of Rio's tour diary thing the other day, Rio and a fitness coach were giving United's head chef some stick about not doing his job. The chef looked genuinely pissed off, turned to the coach and said "well your job is to get the players fit, and you don't do that do you?"

Cue silence from the fitness coach and Rio, and then a change of scene.

when is smalling back? if rio, evans and vidic are fit then jones is 4th choice anyway.

as for trap, he needs to go now tbh, he's working with complete shit, is costing a fortune and is not interested in new ideas or young players. The relationship is gone.

He was out for two months from the end of July so it'll be a while yet. Christmas probably with our staff.

He tore a knee muscle during 'light training' while most of the squad was off on international duty? What the £#%&!ing hell did the clowns at Carrington have him doing ffs.

What's the £#%&!ing point in that? Hardly going to make him any more likely to be picked in the future. Unless he plans on just waiting until Trap £#%&!s off before he plays international football again Whatever happened to pride:shakehead:

That just shows what a poor season Chelsea had (league-wise) considering their lack of injuries and that City can't be that lucky again. In fact City probably have more injuries already this season than they did for all last year

We, no doubt, will still have the most so it shouldn't affect us points wise.

robbie brady looks like starting for n ireland against oman in their friendly tonight

Yet the manager has promoted youth and there will be no more eye-catching starter than the 20-year-old Manchester United reserve Robbie Brady, a player who, by the sound of things, is not slow in coming forward, whether literally on the wing or in more metaphorical fashion.

"Robbie knows his quality ... he is a little bit #@&%!y at times," Trapattoni said. Kevin Doyle, who will captain his country for the second time, noted that Brady had been "right in the middle of things" in training. "He's settled in straight away, no shyness," Doyle said.

Brady, who will make his debut, is yet to play for United, although he did feature for them on their pre-season tour while he played the full season on loan at Hull City last time out. He can play on either flank and Trapattoni will start him on the right and, with the clamour for change in the air, Brady will hope to seize the opportunity in what is, the manager suggested, an audition for next month's qualifier against Germany in Dublin.

"Robbie Brady is one of the best junior players in the country," Trapattoni said, with a nod towards his seven goals at under-21 level. "He has a particular technique, he is creative ... another one like Andy Reid but he's quicker. We also have another young player in James McCarthy, who we continue to trust. McCarthy is a little bit shy ... Robbie Brady no."
