Question Rather than blowing megabucks on some pointy sideburned Ronaldo wannabe, are there any canny deals..

..that YOU can think off that'd strengthen us ?

And %@#$&!s to this obsession with the player being under 27 and therefore having a resale value, if a player looks after himself he can play right through until his late 30's anyway ( read the excellent piece that Jez C&P'd about Milan/Milanello and Beckham ).

We've got the framework to a £#%&!ing great side, one that I happen to think can and will be even better now that Ronaldo's gone, however, rather than permanently having to press "Restart" by shelling out on "one for the future", who's out there waiting just gagging for the chance to realise his full potential ?

Think of Sir Matt when he signed Jimmy Delaney in 45 or 46 ( written off as injury prone and past it ) he was an inspired signing and he went on to play another 200 games for us.

There must be some belting but shrewd signings out there.

As ever I'd take a punt of Gattuso ( although my son tells me he didn't look great last night )

Use your brains comrades and don't just churn out the same £#%&!ing names over and over again.

It's a thorn in my side that we've abandoned 4-4-2 in favour of the 'flavour of the month'
I want wingers at the Club who are quite happy to be wingers.
Ribery won't join us, so we can forget that one.

Hmm..Ashley Young?...Arjen Robben?
Both direct players..Young is very raw & maybe not the 'real deal' ...Robben is an injury prone #@&%!, but a pretty good player imo.

Thumbs up

Fountz - totally agree about this under 27 shit. Ok yes if you're gonna splash BIG on him. But to improve the current team there are plenty at 30 or over that would no doubt improve us.

and FWIW - Id have Gattuso in a heartbeat. Straight into the starting 11. Wham bam thankyou mam

Did anyone see that Mohamed Aboutrika playing for Egypt against Brazil yesterday he was the best player on the pitch. I don't know why he never came to Europe, he's 30 now but absolute class.

I just don't understand thisstance on Ruud.

Ferguson and him were on shite terms leading up to Ruud being sold.He didn't fir in with how we played our best football, was sulking, fighting with his own team-mates and is injury prone as £#%&!.

There's a good reason why Madrid are only asking for a £26.18 for him.

I don't think a thread that starts off recommending we sign £#%&!ing Geriatric Gattuso is deserving of my input tbh.
