er, yes he does. he's at least as good at heading, at tackling and at positional play as pique. these are the key technical qualities of a defender.

he lacks confidence on the ball in comparison to Pique, and he also lacks physique. on the other hand he's quicker. both are perfectly adept at passing sideways, or into a midfielder's feet.
