De Gea was more at fault for their goal imo. He'd already made his mind up Sturridge was cutting onto his left foot.

Michel Carrique despite being twice the player Gerrard ever will be was at fault for their goal.

LB/RB are very important for a United team. Blind has the intelligence to play there. Reminds me of Irwin when in possession. Imagine if we had a right footed version.

Carrick gave the ball away, but where the £#%&! was the LB going? as Sturridge made a bee line for the area of the pitch that he was responsible for? Not that it matters, was just nibbling at vedder.

He couldn't get on the ball in the areas they wanted him in at all

Same as Townsend last weekend . Thought he would struggle against pace .
Looks better at left back than midfield . Shaw aint getting back in

Said it last week: His pace isn't an issue. he's clever enough to position himself properly. he's not slow over the first few yards. Can isn't slow and he had the beating of him for the penalty.

sterling got nothing out of him today aside from early on when they played the ball in behind him and a sterling was away.

class player. been consistently our best outfield player this season.

Blind had a shocker today.....should have been first player subbed

has plenty of class but his lack of pace gets him in a lot of trouble

Anyone who isn't impressed by his performances at LB last couple of games simply doesn't want to be.

Sure, it feels awfully drawn out but it's just seems to be the preferred route rather than just accept that anyone got anything wrong.

didn't the shot take a deflection of jones' heel?

tbf to dunk, daley was caught a couple of times in the second half but overall, especially considering the intensity of the match and fears over his pace, he had a great game again.

Was hilarious when Blind dropped a shoulder and Can staggered out of the picture like a drunk on his way home from the pub.

There will be a massive Blind tug fest in a few seasons, similar to carricks from 2 seasons ago. He might even get a song too. I'll dig this post out when it happens
