"Due to slightly too much topsoil during the summer renovation, there's more marking and scarring on the pitch than we'd want," he said. "This isn't so much a problem of the NFL but of our summer renovation." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29992731 I'm surprised they had an NFL game so close to a Euro Qualifier but as said elsewhere, it's money. All 3 NFL games were sell outs (slightly reduced capacity due to some seats at low level on the sidelines being covered over) over 83,000 in the ground. England friendlies aren't getting close to that & tonights attendance is only around 82,000. Of course the FA are going to want to get their grubby little mitts on as much money as they can, those foreign jollies don't come cheap you know. And after the Qatar affair, they've gotta find more money to bribe FIFA officals, |

Next year is going to be very interesting - there are 3 NFL games in the space of 4 weeks & you've got Rugby World Cup games there too. And I'm pretty sure England have another Euro qualifier shortly after an NFL game. |
