I know that. But Cleverley doesn't pick himself for England - Hodgson does - and obviously he thinks he's good enough. ie the criticism is of his selection.

my criticism of smalling has not been taken up by the national newsmedia as far as I know

and btw, even if i criticise some aspects of his game and his mentality i also offer praise for parts of his game

Wilshere's been shite this season in a team that have been at the top of the table most of the season

We'll have to see how he develops over the next couple of seasons but he's nowhere near being a top class player at the moment
