I'm surprised they had an NFL game so close to a Euro Qualifier but as said elsewhere, it's money. All 3 NFL games were sell outs (slightly reduced capacity due to some seats at low level on the sidelines being covered over) over 83,000 in the ground. England friendlies aren't getting close to that & tonights attendance is only around 82,000.

Of course the FA are going to want to get their grubby little mitts on as much money as they can, those foreign jollies don't come cheap you know. And after the Qatar affair, they've gotta find more money to bribe FIFA officals,

Welbz will score more for England than for Arsenal this season, especially considering England's group.

Agreed. It's obvious they're not gonna blame the NFL with how much money they brought in. And it's just as obvious he's talking shit and the state of the pitch is mainly to do with the recent matches on it.

The pitch was only cut up down the middle anyway, the flanks were fine after the game & it's the same for both teams anyway.

Next year is going to be very interesting - there are 3 NFL games in the space of 4 weeks & you've got Rugby World Cup games there too. And I'm pretty sure England have another Euro qualifier shortly after an NFL game.

i'd have thought a subbuteo style roll out astro pitch would have been devised by now to lay over any surface - 10m squares or something... they had a real grass pitch wheeled in and out in sections at one of the tournaments somewhere iirc - germany maybe?
