an absolute @#%&! of a man.

saw him at euston station standing under the departures board shouting "HI, IT'S KEITH ALLEN" into his mobile phone. he then just wandered around the station talking loudly into his mobile phone, then walked off towards kings cross to presumably do the same thing.

Nothing wrong with 3 Lions, it was very much of its time but it was no doubt the most successful and it really caught on in the stadiums. What a summer that was.

similar experience at crewe station except for the on his phone bit. just stood there in the middle of platform with his chest out gagging to be there's keith allened...

was well proud of my missus at the time that she didn't let on to the @#%&! either as we walked past. turned out she hadn't a scoobie who he was (nor who i was probably, she was £#%&!ed ;-})

3 Lions is a worthy winner tbf

Italia 90 was big with the whole Gazza tears thing & everything but I've never known Football capture the zeitgeist the way it did in the summer of 96.
England played some £#%&!ing great stuff (& served up plenty of shite too) - but that song was immortalised that summer.

the @#%&!s who lived next door to us played 3 lions on repeat every night between midnight and 2am. for that reason alone, nessun dorma wins. and for any other reason too. never heard ze germans singing nessun dorma. please do not post a vid if they ever did.
