Thumbs up Paul Scholes

600 games for United tonight if he plays... Toppest ever Red.

Remember him really coming to the fore in season 95/96 when he banged in loads of goals early doors when Cole was injured.

Also scored a brace against Port Vale back in 93-94 when there was the furore as Fergie played 'his kids' against them in the League cup.

Anyway, top player, top red and some great goals (Notably Bradford, a screamer against Boro in 00, Villa and loads of others too).

Love the fact that the first thing new england managers ever say is that they are tryingg to talk scholes out of international retirement

A legend in every sense of the word. How fortunate we've been to have players with the ability, class, professionalism and dedication of Giggs and Scholes. You really couldn't ask for much more.

I still remember the sense of relief we all felt in the San Siro when he equalised againt Inter in the QF of the Champions league in 1999.

Good goal against the Arse in the SF of the FA cup in 2004 (when Wenger left Henry on the bench until it was too late ), also makes me smile.

Great player : congratulations in advance for joining the 600 Club

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson says he has never received one enquiry for midfielder Paul Scholes, who is set to make his 600th appearance for the club on Wednesday against Portsmouth. "They all know he would never leave," said Ferguson
I swear we rejected a £32m bid from Inter

He may have ginger hair and a little willy but I will be very, very upset when he hangs up his boots. One of my all time favourite players.

Hope he scores a 30 yarder tonight.

That would be the man who is set to rack up his 800th appearance in 2 games time.

600 league games innit? Not being a pedant but it's probably a point worth making.
