i think the way that the k stand and paddock had terracing at the front and seats above is the way to go. especially with that cold concrete wall behind. fantastic. love to see that come back all the way around the ground and fair play – give visiting teams the scoreboard end. it would fill every time and we'd get an atmosphere... blah, yeah, blah. but it would be great...

Fantastic film - thanks for posting that. I cannot believe how much the ground has changed. My first game was in '77 watching us get beat against Chelsea, and looking back at that video, it brings all the memories flooding back. God damn sky and the rest of the shit that has ruined football.

someone help me out. I have a very early memory of OT - I would be about 7 or 8 so late 70s - and in that memory their was a glass 'wall' that seperated the united road stand from stretford end. ran from the roof of the stand down.

Did this ever exist? It isn't on this video. I am staring to think it was never there, so why the £#%&! do I still have this memory?

That is insane.

Not to be an apologist for Argentinian football, but at least you can see some humanity in the Boca hooligans. Lazio, though - animals. And you feel they don't really care about football very much, no matter what they may profess.

Same here, we played Boro.

Lovely video that, when the camera first shows the Stretford end, it sends shivers down my spine.
